Diablo Ii Lod Mods

1. For Diablo II: Lord of Destruction on the PC, a GameFAQs message board topic titled 'runeword mod for single player'.
2. Diabo 2, Runewords 1.10, Runewords 1.11, Uniques items, Set items, Mercenaries's stats, Horadric Recipes, Uber tristram and Diablo 2 Clone guides.

Yesterday I was struggling to find a way to enable ladder-only runewords on single player with the newer versions. Because my system does not cooperate with older versions of D2, I was especially motivated to get it working for 1.14. After some tinkering the following method worked for me:

1. In BOTH your DiabloII folder under (default) Program Files AND the DiabloII folder in the C:Users<your user>Saved GamesDiabloII create the following path by creating the following folders: ..DiabloIIDataGlobalExcel

2. In the Excel folder save the following txt file: http://pastebin.com/xGLWhmZ1 (you can paste or download) as Runes.txt

3. To recap, both DiabloII directories should contain the paths ..DiabloIIDataGlobalExcelRunes.txt

4. Modify the shortcut path for your Diablo2 program by adding -direct and -txt to the end of the path (after the closed quotation marks). For example, my path looks like this: 'C:Program Files (x86)Diablo IIDiablo II.exe' -direct -txt

This should do it. I hope this helped some people out. Also as a sidenote, I had issues with Windows 10 not allowing me to modify/save/create files under my User directory. To fix this I had to change the 'ownership' of the User directory by following these directions: http://winaero.com/blog/how-to-take-ownership-and-get-full-access-to-files-and-folders-in-windows-10/. After this I had to add a usergroup to the list of permissions on the parent User directory by typing in my User name in the prompt field. After editing the permissions on this newly created User account to have full control I was able to save the txt file in the Excel directory in the Saved GamesDiabloII path.
